I don't just play games and program. I also watch movies and tv series, read books, and listen to music. Sometimes I'm even outside.

Movies

Yeah. Science Fiction is where it's at for me. Old school Star Wars, Alien, Aliens and Terminator 2. You know, the usual stuff.

I also enjoy a good adventure, and sometimes I'm in the mood for horror and thrillers. Once in a while, I can even go for some fantasy. Labyrinth, for example, is one of my favorite movies of all times. Ludo friend.

Something of a guilty pleasure for me is bad movies. Jason X, for example, is really bad, which is part of why I love it. I've watched Moon 44 unironically several times.

TV Series

As this is my personal info domain, Babylon 5 could probably have it's own page. I'll spare you the crazy fanboi ranting here, but if you know me AFK, don't bring up B5 unless you have an hour to spare.

Firefly, obviously. I mean, season 2 is due out any day now, and I'll keep pretending that's true no matter what you say. I am a leaf on the wind.

I'm not entirely sure The Expanse is better as a TV series than as a book series, but the TV series is pretty good. Same sort of feelings for Altered Carbon.

Are we seeing a pattern yet? Let's break that pattern by dropping in True Blood. Lafayette is my hero.

Books

Again with the Sci-Fi, I guess, but the more Space Opera it is, the better I enjoy it.

Lately I've been enjoying The Outside by Ada Hoffmann, but I'm also re-visiting an old favorite, The Bad Place by Dean Koontz.

Yep, I like my books dark and brooding. Probably because my love for reading really flourished while I was an edgy teenager.

Music

Speaking of being an edgy teenager, I'm very much into heavy metal.

Iron Maiden is my favorite band ever, closely followed by Old Man's Child and Dimmu Borgir. Trent Reznor has a very special place in my life, but he's not on the ranking system. He's on a special pedistal next to it.

Yep, this is where I get my online handle from. Black Metal makes me Demonen, meaning "The Demon" in Norwegian. As a teenager I was so edgy you could cut diamonds with my attitude, and I have the studded leather jacket to prove it.

I'm also quite addicted to David Bowie, for some reason, and I can't go long stretches of time without listening to The Rolling Stones.

Outside

Like Leon, I also go outside sometimes. When I do, I like green things. Trees, grass, that sort of thing.

I used to go snowboarding, but as an old fart with busted knees, it's not a thing I do every decade anymore.

Adventures, though. I love going exploring and having adventures. I've spent some time in true wilderness, and it is a very special feeling. I'd love to do more of this, but my health disagrees. Ironically, doing it anyway would probably improve my health, so maybe I'm just lazy?
